Abstract
Smart medical technologies arise from the collaboration of multiple engineering disciplines, resulting in increased technical and organizational complexity. Compounded by the intrinsic complexities of the medical sector, their development can prove challenging. In this sense, this article focuses on their development from a methodological standpoint. Leveraging the review of six distinct product development approaches and processes, the proposed research direction explores Agile Systems engineering and especially a V-model-Scrum process model for the development of smart medical technologies.
