Abstract
Product developers need to describe relations between input and output
parameters mathematically. This central problem varies in many ways and
starts from the description of measurement data and ends with the integration
of results from numerical simulations in downstream simulations of similar
problems. Therefor meta-models or surrogate models are used. In this
publication a methodology for validation, verification and selection of proper
meta-models within the virtual product development is presented.
